SOLAQUA and ARTSPACE Announce Partnership

On Friday, January 13th 2006 Solaqua Power & Art announced their partnership with Artspace. This partnership marks the beginning of a transformative process, whereby the old Columbia Boxboard Mill in Chatham will be redeveloped into a renewable energy driven performing and industrial arts center complete with affordable artist living and working spaces.

The decision by Artspace to partner with Solaqua in the redevelopment of the abandoned boxboard factory into redeveloped living and workspaces marks the beginning of a new era at Solaqua. This partnership will drive the Solaqua project through established redevelopment techniques and avenues of financial and technical support. Artspace has a long standing reputation of successful redevelopment projects throughout the country and the Solaqua project could add an entirely new dimension to the project portfolio that Artspace maintains.

The partnership between Solaqua and Artspace is the beginning of a new stage in the Solaqua project. This connection will foster the development of a world class project in our community which will deliver numerous benefits to the community.
